How night vision scopes work

Night vision scopes are the perfect solution to continue sighting and hunting wildlife after you have lost the daylight. Night vision works by gathering any possible light, such as from moonlight and stars. The light is then converted to electrons that are magnified then chemically and electronically morphed into visible light which casts an image. This technology is applied to night vision scopes so it can be used in the hunting and sight seeing industries.

Many of the same characteristics of typical gun scopes are applied to night vision scopes, including the varying choices of magnification, sight field and clarity. Night vision scopes require two AA batteries to fund the power for part of the light conversion process that gives and image in the dark.

When shopping for night vision scopes you want to make sure the scopes basic features like clarity and magnification work just as well as the night vision. This is necessary because without a decent working scope, the night vision is practically useless. Most scopes, including night vision, have magnification capabilities of 35,000X to 65,000X and some greater
