How to get the most from your Weaver Scopes
Weaver Scopes are among the top name brands offered on the market today. The majority of Weaver Scopes are backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Weaver manufactures Spotting Scopes as well as Rifle Scopes. The two types of spotting scopes offered by Weaver are the ETX spotting scopes and the Classic spotting scopes. On the other hand, Weaver offers a wide variety of rifle scopes such as the Grand Slam rifle scopes, the T Series rifle scopes and the Tactical rifle scopes.
First, the ETX spotting scope is considered one of the finest scopes ever made. Its superior optics provide fine detail at any distance. Weaver Scopes' light capturing capabilities of the 90mm and 150mm objective lenses allow clarity in low light environments. Each ETX spotting scope is camera adaptable, and comes with a T-mount option which allows for distant spotting capabilities far beyond that of average spotting scopes. The ETX spotting scope is available with 90mm or 125mm objective magnification lenses and comes in only Black/Green finish.
Next, the Classic spotting scope is designed more for rugged outdoor exposure. Though this Weaver Scope is waterproof and rubber armored, it only weighs 21 ounces and is only 10 inches in length. The Classic spotting scope is equipped with a wide-angle eye piece, allowing for full viewing privilege even for those with eyeglasses on. While only offered in matte black rubber, the Classic offers a 20 x 50mm and a 15-40 x 60mm objective magnification lens.
Among the Weaver Scopes available for rifle use, the Grand Slam rifle scopes are all equipped with the Micro-Trac 4 point adjustment system. This system is the best in the industry. The Grand Slam contains multi-coated lenses in order to reduce glare and increase brightness for clarity even in low light environments. Its eyepiece adjustment features a "sure grip" power ring to ensure correct adjustment capabilities even with heavy hunting gloves on. The Grand Slam's one-piece construction allows the scope to be waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof. This model is offered in matte black or silver matte finish.
The T Series is the one Weaver Scope that is best used for target shooting and varmint hunting. Its adjustable objective lens along with its Micro-Trac 4 point adjustment system provides outstanding accuracy. The T Series contains multi-coated lenses in order to reduce glare and increase brightness for clarity even in low light environments. Consumers may choose between the fine crosshair or dot reticle options. Each scope comes standard with an extra pair of bench rest adjustment knobs, screw-in metal lens caps, and sunshade. The T series is offered in matte black, black satin, or silver finish.
Designed to reflect its name, the Tactical scope uses the Mil Dot reticle which is also used by military and law enforcement. The range of this Weaver Scope is determined by lining up a target between the segments marked on the reticle. This allows for consistency regardless of magnification. The Tactical scope features 1/8 MOA windage and elevation micrometer adjustments. In order to decrease light reflection, the Tactical scope is only offered in matte black finish.
In addition to the Weaver Scopes models mentioned above, Weaver produces Handgun and Shotgun scopes as well. Weaver also designed the Classic Rimfire scopes to accommodate smaller caliber guns such as .22s and air guns. These scopes possess many of the same features as those already mentioned.
